What Clarendon Grange Offers

Why Clarendon Grange Feels Like Home

unnamed file

When Dad was first discharged from hospital to Clarendon Grange, he was deemed to be 'end of life' and was not expected to live more than another 3 or 4 months. After 2 months, it began to become clear that he was no longer dying. This is testimony to the excellent level of care given to him by staff, who never gave up on him, made sure that he continued to eat, and gave him reasons to live. The whole ethos of the home is based on providing care at the highest level possible. Each member of staff shows that they care about every resident and the home itself is kept to such a standard that it feels more like a quality hotel than a care home.

Life moves at its own pace here

Do you like a busy day filled with conversation and company? Perhaps you prefer a quiet corner, a newspaper and a cup of tea. At Clarendon Grange Care Home, there’s room for both.

Life here feels reassuringly familiar. Your family and friends are always welcome, and you can spend time with others in the lounges and courtyard garden, at your leisure.

Our team takes the time to understand the routines and preferences that make each person who they are. Like how Harold needs an extra piece of toast with breakfast each morning, so he can feed the birds when he’s finished his.

Clarendon Grange is a care home in Workington where people are known, not just cared for.

She wears a white eyelet-patterned blouse and sits indoors, with an elderly man in a blue polo shirt sitting alongside her on a blue couch in the background.
